EMBRACING THE DAY-TO-DAY
"Embrace Your Life With Intentional Meaning And Purpose."
Each day is truly a gift.
We are able to hit the reset button of our lives when we are able to experience another day. However, it's not always easy. I believe having "a desire to embrace life with intentional meaning and purpose," says that we are still here and we will do our very best to live life on purpose. Living our lives to the fullest instead of by chance. Taking a serious look at what our options are and getting the support we need can help us to regain our peace. I created this page to embrace each and everyday with intentional meaning and purpose. With fun tools to utilize in your life. Perhaps change your perspective on issues. It first starts with us being willing to have an open mind to do so. Take what you want and leave the rest.
" IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE ANSWER YOU'RE SEEKING, IT'S ABOUT THE QUESTION YOU ASK. "
PROCRASTINATION I: (The 10 Minute Rule)
Why don't we just get it done? This is truly a good question. How many times do we avoid doing something we know we need to do. Dreading just thinking about it. Maybe it takes up too much time, there is fear involved or point blank just not feeling like doing it!
In some cases, things shouldn't be all or nothing. Doing it or not doing it, shouldn't be the final outcome.
The 10 Minute Rule.
I tried a 10 minute rule. It actually worked! Just take 10 minutes and start your task. You may stop after 10 minutes. The point is that you started.
I believe if you start the task using the 10 minute rule, you know it will only take 10 minutes. You will be more inclined to accomplish putting in time to do the task you dread doing. You can set up another 10 minutes another day or time. Before you know it, the task has been completed! What I found to be true is on some tasks, once I started, I regained my mojo and either completed the task at that given time, or went beyond the 10 minutes I committed myself to do.
You can always put a different time limit on your task. However, be careful. You want to be sure not to open the door to procrastinate again, because the time is too long. Then you will dread doing it again.
Try it!
Stay tuned I will post another tool that will help with gaining lasting change on minimizing your procrastination.

MAKING LIFE JUST A LITTLE EASIER
Did you know that it is the 'Little Things' that can make your life easier?
Start with the simplest things you can do around the house or in a designated area of your choosing. Believe it or not, this is where you can make a difference. You can start small, and then create solutions for the bigger ticket items later.
I was watching a show on TV one night and there was a very well dressed gentleman on the show. He was very organized. Suits and shirts lined up in his closet according to color, style, etc. Well, he also wore a pair of colored glasses to match just about every suit he wore. He kept his custom colored glasses in a box on the island in his walk-in closet. I thought what a great idea! Bingo! I can't tell you how life changing that was for me! I wear glasses. Two pair. One for reading and the other pair for distance. No, no bifocals or contact lenses. If you wear glasses you know losing them is always on-going. Especially when you lose them a lot! They can be anywhere in the house. They seem to fall into a hole. Okay, so back to where the TV program helped me. Previously, I had bought a couple of decorative boxes that I liked from the dollar store. I didn't know what I was going to use them for - I bought them anyway. However, after watching the TV program, I used one of them to store my (8) pair of glasses. Yes, all of them. One side of the box has my reading glasses, and the other side of the box has my distance glasses. I keep the box on the dresser near the door. This way I can grab and go or put the pair(s) I'm not using back in the box. Oh, did I mention that I too wear different colored glasses? Now my glasses are not all over the house. Also, I'm not trying on each pair to see if it is for reading or distance. By the way, I painted nail polish on the inside of the arch of the reading glasses, so that if I put them down somewhere in the house, I know which glasses are for reading or for distance without putting them on (another great idea!) Then I can put them back in my fluorescent pink and purple striped decorative box.
Amazing!
I'm always looking to see how I can make my life just a little easier. It works!
I'm sure you can come up with some cool ideas whether big or small. It WILL make a difference and make life just a little easier!

What do you do when things don't go your way?
What do you do when things don't go your way? How do you react when your world changes because of someone else's decision or a life changing event?
A good approach.
Take a moment and step away from the situation. Don't let your emotions get the best of you before taking a moment to think about what transpired.
Sometimes taking a fresh look at things can change your perspective, and you realize that most things aren't as bad as you originally thought.
This is a good opportunity to change your mindset. Of course, if you have a FIXED mindset and you are having a tough time sifting through things, I can assist you with that.
